I have been going to the Space Coast Cardiopulmonary conference for a couple of years running. Before that I was going to the FSRC Sunshine Seminar for several years to get my CEU’s for the biennium.
Conferences are a great way to get your needed continuing education credits. I usually can get a little more than half of my necessary CEU’s at a conference. Plus they can be fun. I especially love space coast because it’s at this great doubletree on the beach in Cocoa Beach and there is a great party after the first day of lectures. I can get a Little over half the CEU’s I need for the biennium. These conferences are good for nursing CEU’s as well so I don’t have to stop going when I become an RN. And I do plan on retaining my RT license as well.
There are usually more opportunity for nursing CEU’s here in Florida that I have seen. Hospitals offer many for their nurses.
Alas, I will not be attending Space Coast this year because I have an exam on the second day and I will have to study for it the day before. :(. I might try to get to Sunshine Seminar down in Ft Lauderdale in August.
