I received my practicum assignment today! I only received the name of the educator for the floor so I have to wait for my actual preceptors name but I know that I will be on a Cardiovascular surgery floor. (Step down, Maybe?) I am pleased that I got my first choice though.
I am feeling really positive about this exam I just took today. I can’t wait to see what my grade is and will post an update when I receive it. This exam was on HIV, Cancer, End of Life, and personality disorders. (personality disorders are so fascinating.)
I just finished ordering my nursing portrait. I actually chose the digital CD single pose (because only one out of pic was remotely good.) So I will be able to have my own graduation announcements made up and printed and I can print as many as I want without limit. I plan to have shutterfly pint my graduation announcements.
I’m trying to order my nursing pin but I am confused as to whether it will be delivered to the school or to my home. It makes a difference because it’s $10 more to have it delivered to my home. I was going to go with a double gold plated pin but I opted for a single gold plated pin (which means gold is only plated on the front of the pin and costs $40 less!) with a “RN” pin guard. I probably will never wear the thing after I start working but I thought I deserved at least a gold plated pin and a guard because I worked hard to get thought this program.
WE have time, date and location of our pinning ceremony.
I must run off and study!
———- UPDATE! ——————–
Grade on this exam 85.33. Not as good as I had hoped but still decent.
Nurses are the best, I really commend them for their chosen career. God bless them and good luck.
