It’s over

I finished my HESI exit exam about 30 minutes ago. I was so nervous going in. I was shaky and my heart was pounding in my chest. I thought for sure I was going to bomb the damn thing because things were going too well. I did the whole last minute study thing in the car before I had to go into the building to get a bagel with cream cheese to supplement my banana that I ate before I left home ( I was too nervous to eat)

I dressed comfortably for the exam. Shorts, tee, flip flops and a GAP zippered hoodie. I didn’t get up during the test although I probably should have. The room was the perfect temperature for me.

When I answered the 160th question I sat about 5 minutes before hitting “submit.” I was literally afraid to pull the trigger. I was afraid of what I might see in the score box.

When I finally pulled the trigger what I saw in the score box surprised the hell out of me. HESI score: 1181, Conversion Score: 99.99%. Hell yeah! I rocked the Exit exam!!!! I was incredibly happy and my heart was pounding. My teacher came over to record the score and she said “that’s incredible.” I thanked her and looked at my score report for a few minutes and then I left.

I am in the HSB building waiting for the Pinning Luncheon to start in about 40 minutes. I am so excited that this is over but at the same time I am sad because I will probably never see some of these people again. I will miss my classmates.

I move now into NCLEX study mode but first I will enjoy my pinning luncheon. 🙂
