Hesi Achievement test.

Wow! This was kind of an emotional day.

I car pooled to the west campus with 2 of my classmates, Ria and Tiffani and Ria and I had a yummy tropical smoothie for breakfast.

We took the big HESI achievement exam today. I didn’t do as well as I hoped although I did pass. Just not as well as I had hoped. That test was hard. I got a 76.24%. It gives me a C for the coarse according to the nursing grading scale. That kind of sucks.

One thing I did notice about the exam was that out of the 4 answers (if it wasn’t a check as many as apply) 2 were DEAD WRONG.  So that really narrowed the choices to 2 answers.  Easy right? Not so much.  The two answers that are left are good answers you just have to chose the BEST answer.

We lost 4 people from our class today. The ones we lost either did poorly on this exam or didn’t do well enough on the other two exams to pass. That made me really sick to my stomach to think that 4 of my classmates didn’t make it. I felt really bad but at the same time thankful that I made the cut, you know.

After the test, we got pizza from NYPD Pizza and sat upstairs in the cafeteria with Caesar salad, cookies and cupcakes. That was fun. After we had Maternal child health orientation. That was quicker than I thought it was going to be, we were out around. 3pm. It’s an online class and halfway through orientation my class disappeared so I was not able to follow along with orientation on my own computer. No biggie I guess.

Wednesday starts clinical practice in Mother Baby unit. I’m nervous about this because I am afraid I won’t remember anything regarding assessment. In addition to a common health assessment I will also need to add BUBBLE EE to my assessment.
