I still haven’t found a job in nursing. I’m not giving up yet but it is a bit disheartening still to not have a job. I’ve been turned down for at least 15-20 jobs and have heard nothing from any GN residency programs from any of the hospitals to which I have applied. Who are getting these jobs? Apparently not me or any of my classmates (that I am aware of) but I don’t talk to all of them anymore but not for any reason we’ve just lost touch. One of my classmates have complained that this RN degree might leave her unemployed. This is getting completely ridiculous. Everyone I talk to has told me my experience as a hospital RT should give me a leg up. It doesn’t appear to be the magic bullet that everyone promises it is.
I am applying for a job at the facility at which I currently work. I hope to get it even though it’s not ideal. I suppose your first job never is, right? Keep your fingers crossed for me.
