After spending a good part of a week sitting down in front of a computer in nursing orientation …..

I had my first day on the nursing floor.  Well, it was actually a half a day from 8-2:30.  I mostly shadowed another nurse and went over some policy and procedure and stuff.

I still don’t have access to Pyxis or charting because my boss hasn’t released me from respiratory staffing yet.  So my new boss, who is so nice but whom I also know means business, left her a message to get her to release me so that we can get access to all that.

I return on Monday for a full shift and I have my schedule for the next 2 weeks.

This job will be a challenge like none other.
