Alphabet Creams- What’s the difference?

Have you ever wondered what all those BB Cremes, CC cremes and the future DD creams do for you?  I am here to answer your questions.

BB Creams are an Asian import which provides coverage with such skin benefits such as SPF or antioxidants. It really depends on what brand you buy.  A personal favorite of mine is Body Shop Tea Tree BB Creme in medium.  It contains Tea Tree oil which is great for blemished skin, They are more heavier than tinted moisturizer but they are lighter than Foundation.

CC Creams are slightly different than BB creams in that they are generally “color correctors.”  CC creams are products are meant to address issues like redness or sallowness (usually with light-diffusing particles).  My favorite CC is  and Your Skin But Better CC Cream with SPF 50+ by It Cosmetics.

The next thing in the Alphabet Creams  pipe is DD Cream.  As of this writing the only company which offers a DD Creme is Julip Beauty.  (I’ve never heard of the company.  Containing more coverage than a BB cream and more benefits than a CC cream, Julep’s DD Creme and DD Concealer are formulated to tackle signs of aging while diminishing fine lines, balancing uneven tone and protecting delicate areas of the face. Each product is ideal for the beauty-seeker looking for the qualities of a beauty balm with additional coverage for stubborn dark spots, age marks or blemishes.

Do you think you will try a DD creme once they are more widely produced or even now?   What creme is your favorite?
