It is a requirement for my BSN program that we seek advisement prior to registering. In fact, a hold on registration is placed until you have met with an advisor.

I opened my calendar to get an overview of my free days for the next couple of weeks and I made the phone call to the school of nursing. I spoke with the secretary who looked at the advisors calendar and offered this coming Monday. Now I’m working this weekend (all weekend) and Tuesday and Wednesday so I really didn’t want to drive all the way out to UCF for advisement (at least and hours drive) on my one day off between shifts. I almost said no, when she offered telephone advisement. I said “I can do that? That would be great.”

That saves me a drive, gas, and time. I can get advised in my PJ’s. LOL!
