I pushed my first narcotics today on several people today although I don’t have access to meds yet. (tomorrow I will). It feels weird to do this after spending 12 years in a hospital environment and never giving anything potentially more harmful than Xopenex.

I did have access to charting system today so I did some charting.

Also went to a 2 hour inservice on Core measures. Enlightening but I’m afraid that I won’t remember stuff.

It was a good day today and it has been a long time since I have been able to say that. Burnt out on RT maybe? Or just my department? I don’t know. I am happy to be shifting gears and doing something new.
