Today was the dosage exam. I did really well on the practice exams I took last night at home. It is required that you get a 92% or better to meet pass the exam without having to take it over. I don’t know what my actual score is because the way we were notified of our grade was an email stating you did or did not meet the requirement. I got this email:
The minimum score to pass the dosage exam is 92%. Your score on Dosage Exam I did not meet this requirement. Please make an appointment with me during office hours next week so we can review your exam and strengthen your dosage calculation skills. I am available Monday at West Campus or Tuesday/Wednesday at Osceola Campus.
Please plan on taking your dosage exam before lab next Thursday, June 16th at 0800 in the Osceola Testing Center, Building 1.
The initial dosage and calculation exam for Nursing I and AVS Transition into Professional Nursing will be placed in the end of the course and allow for one repeat attempt for students who are not successful. Student MUST achieve minimum score of 92% in order to pass the exam. Students who fail the retake will fail the course.
So basically this is all over for me if I get less than a 92% on this retake. I can’t even begin to tell you how much that sucks. Math is not my thing at all and it never has been and probably won’t ever be. I don’t know what I will do if I fail this course.
