The Luncheon was nice. It was basically in the nursing building in the big hall. There were a bunch of round banquet tables with Black table cloths and confetti and chocolate kisses on them. In the center a square low bowel there was water and a rose. We had an introductory talk from S. Smith, my instructor for Transition into Professional Nursing and Maternal Child Health. We then heard from Dean Pritchard (Dean of nursing) She is so cool. Then they talked about retiring professors (two- including my favorite Mrs Griffin.)
Then they opened the small buffet of some type of pasta dish and chicken with texas toast. There was water and iced tea to drink. and there was cake. When everyone was seated they started the slide shows. First was ours – the AVS group. I almost cried. Then the Generic students group. I enjoyed their slide show too. And that was pretty much the whole luncheon.
Afterward my class headed off to the Ale House again, like we did on Wednesday to have a drink. It was Tamika, Janice, Maria, Trey, Jennifer, Lisa, myself, and Desarie. We all sat around and talked, joked and had a great time while enjoying a drink. It was a fun afternoon.
